Careful, if you have a couple, that situation is always too tense. 
I am down for a Yurt, the size of a map room. And musicians, potentially a bearer with coconut clappers. I would definitely like to hear a thrall play that Khitan leg harp.

Bearer thralls need to be useful for some thing after you’ve striped them of their backpack.
How about, and I know this would probably never make it into the game, a mobile carriage carried by 4 bearers.
