To be honest, that’s a trend everywhere - when people are happy, they’re usually content to say they’re happy. They don’t feel the need to analyze the particulars. But when people are unhappy, they’re much more motivated to find all the nits to pick.

That said, there is also some emergent trending to be seen in negative reviews: they’re written after the user (of any product, not just video games or Conan Exiles in particular) suffers from a single setback or a moment of upset. They’re often written in a moment of anger, despite the fact that 30 minutes before the event, the same person would’ve written a positive review but never bothered to write one.

That’s another reason why negative reviews tend towards more specificity than positive ones: they’re triggered by a single, specific event. I’m not saying that’s wrong per se - the whole “thralls decaying in one day” brouhaha understandably upset a great many players - but a single oops, even a major one, doesn’t tell anything about the game as a whole. Personally, I’d wait until I see how, and if, Funcom fixes that mess, before writing a review about the game. Forum rants, yes, absolutely, knock yourself out. But the emotional state after suffering such a loss is probably unfit for a review.
