This game is disheartening!

This game is disheartening!!! First, at the launch age of sorcery, I took the lotus potion to correct my attributes and since then, I lost access to spells… it wasn’t enough to wait for months for the company to correct this, tired of waiting I decided to start over, I passed the leadership from the clan to my wife, who plays with me and I selected recreate character… I was rewarded with the loss of 120 slaves! Honestly, I’ve lost all love I had for this game… I’m seriously considering giving up!

Okay? Is there a bug you’re trying to report or just a rant?

the error is reported there!

…no, not really. You’ve described a problem that happened with no context and gave zero detail about it beyond how it makes you feel

ok, let’s go…

  1. At the launch of age of sorcery I lost the possibility of leveling my spells because I used the lotus potion.

  2. To try to revert this error that persisted for months, I recreated the character, which resulted in the loss of all the slaves that my clan owned, even though I had transferred the property to another player before doing so.

You did not fill out the appropriate template, so we don’t know what server this is on… was it an official?
Because if it’s your server and you’re the admin there might be console commands etc. that could’ve helped with that.

I don’t get this part… there seems to be a gap there…
So you passed the leadership on… and you left the clan as you were supposed to… and recreated your character.
The part that doesn’t make sense is that if those slaves were owned by the clan… and your wife did not leave the clan… does when not still have access to them? :man_shrugging:

the server is official, it’s 2975

before recreating the character, I passed leadership to my wife. When my wife entered the game, there were no slaves left. I returned to base and joined the clan again. There were only 4 slaves left who were on the wheel of pain, those who were scattered around the base, along with all the tamed animals, disappeared.

If I understand properly you’re wife was not online when you passed leadership and you recreated your character? If that is the case it would explain why server probably did not catch up. My wife and I have done that multiple times when both of us were online the worst that should is if you are maxed on thralls you may have lost 15 or what one person adds to the total. @BRMx_Murdok

Hmm… so you kept access to the base and everything and only the followers disappeared…
That sounds like some weird glitch with the follower limit.
You said you had 120… which is over the limit… I don’t know how you had that much, but I think that’s technically not possible on official servers with just 2 people in the clan, you need 5. And if you’re over the limit there’s a system that deletes one periodically until you’re below the limit… To me this sounds like something went wrong there when the amount of players in the clan changed, altering your max limit and the system that deletes them somehow went crazy.

We have a 5 player clan 125 follower limit is correct We carefully watch limit and weed out weak followers if they had to many and give clan to wife while she’s offline probably caused a glitch. @Xevyr

in my clan we are 6 members, our limit is 140 slaves.

yes, i recreated the character seconds before she joined the server

That is probably what caused it she was not online when you. Made her clan leader. I sorry to hear what you lost.

Being online should not affect the clan leader transfer (it is not like invite). My clan has plenty of times transferred clan leadership to a logged out member. My queation, is after you transferred leadership, how long before any clan members logged in. If all of them, including your wife, hadn’t logged in for a while, then when you left, the thrall decay settings may have adjusted to match the last remaining members log out date.

Or, did you forgett to take out garbage and your wife deleted thralls to punish you?

the other members do a lot that they don’t enter. I laughed a lot at the part about taking out the trash! Lol

Yup! Forgot about thrall decay (also you would see that in the log most likely)
But yes! That’s most likely what happened, the clans themselves do not have a timestamp stored as to when the last activity happened, only the individual characters have that.

So if nobody else in your clan logged on for the past few weeks, then thrall decay would’ve instantly deleted the thralls as soon as you left the clan

Why base didn’t decay?
Wife should check event log and follower list.
Out of 120, how many left?

Because follower decay is entirely different from building decay.
For buildings their decay information is actually stored, for followers it’s most likely just calculated based on the last online time of the most recently logged in clan member.
