• new worldmap.
    It’s very green
    Very little magma.
    No snow.
    Two forest biomes.
No weather other than the Maelstrom in the center.
Overall, it’s fun and has lots of verticality. This one would prefer more diversity, but resources for end game are spread well across the entire map.

  • new dungeons, right?
Several, called Vaults on Siptah. They all share a roughly similar aesthetic and most are on the medium size. Not as large as the one cellar or such, but they are definitely present and most have good rewards.

  • new armors?
Yes. The Slaveforged set has a good outfit for house slaves/sacrifices (light), bdsm slaves (medium), and a fairly nifty, other than the very silly shoulder guards set of actual armour (heavy). Then there are the statistically interesting armours and weapons you can learn in the Vaults and pirate or Stygian camps

  • it had its own version of a Purge, that was called a Surge, didn’t it? Does that still work in Siptah? Or did it get replaced by the Age of War base defense mechanic along with the old mainland Purge? Was the Surge really any different than the old-style Purge?
    Very.
While Siptah is modern purge enabled, the Surge is very different.
You collect essences to bring to one of three locations on the map that you then burn as an offering to an elder evil who then steals humanoids and drops them at that altar area for you to slaughter or enslave. They will try to kill you. Also, beasts and other things sometimes show up. Anyone can gank your summoned soon to be slaves tho.

There are several things to note about Siptah, it seems to be envisioned as a post game zone. Finding base Exiled Lands recipes is completely RNG gated. End game resources are spread evenly across the map. Depending on the server settings, about a fifth of the map is no build zone or is annoying to build in (the center, near the tower, building is often disabled during the Maelstrom).
Many areas that look like great build areas are no build zones for no discernable reason, no enemies spawn there, no interectable objects, just wide swathes of building not allowed.

There are only three and a half factions of NPC Humanoids other than those you summon.
Pirates, Stygians (stats like relic hunters but with their own armour style), and Accursed (carbon copies of Cimmerians, including gear and drops) and “Exiles”.

You will need a shovel.

This one’s favourite feature, there are cages with prisoners in them. If you rescue them, they become your followers, so you can have big damn hero moments.

Oh, and it comes with both Stormglass and Flotsam build sets

Overall, solid value for money in this one’s opinion.

One drawback is that it is rarely updated and any Age or Season events, if they aren’t skipped entirely, are only half @$$ implemented on the map.
