This is why I provided my two cents and let it be. I play on official PvE (PlayStation) and have for years now. I mentioned my thoughts. You take them as you will. However, I agree, those that don’t play official shouldn’t be so aggressive about it. I understand some USE TO play official, but left due to performance issues or community toxicity, however they’re no longer on the servers and likewise left that all behind. Those of us on officials do understand your concerns, but we also understand that Funcom likely won’t concede so the best choice of action is to adapt… especially if you’re not willing to risk punishment by admin for exploiting the system.
Please funcom for the love of crom, dont make crafters placeable thralls! I put them in storage when i dont need them.
It’s the coolest thing they will do in a long time.
You don’t put people in storage, you monster!
I hope they’re still placeable at the very least like regular thralls. That way you can still trade them and store spares in case you lose one. I’ll be royally pissed if you can’t place them.
@jmk1999 tottaly. That’s the whole point. How would they be otherwise?
How? They get rid of the placeables altogether and thralls walk off the wheel like they walk out of a cage. THAT is something we DON’T want.
I assume they will make benches smart objects and then you can place the thrall there, like if it was a chair, @jmk1999 . Outside working hours, you can place them somewhere else. I would love to see a drunken smithy facing a puny stygian while swinging a hammer in his hand! I would call it Szeth’s cousin. Everyone knows there’s only drunkards in that family!
I don’t think you’re understanding what I’m saying. I mean they make it so you no longer have the ability to place them from an inventory object like combat thralls are currently. Like all of your thralls in inventory disappear and all thralls walk off the wheel, instantly in the world. That would be worst case scenario. I doubt they’ll do that, but the could.
What would be the problem with that, @jmk1999 ? I must be having a stupidity seizure…
Because you have to farm a new thrall every time you want a new one. Also, no more trading thralls with other clans. I gave @everybodyvsME some thralls recently and he gave me a crafter. We would no longer be able to do that. It would be annoying and take away from the social aspect.
Ahh I see. Maybe devs can find a way to change the owner of the thrall via menu command.
About having to go get a new one, indeed you wouldn’t be able to store them in chests, but that doesn’t bother me, @jmk1999 . I always disliked the idea of placing thralls in containers. It’s not immersive at all…
Yeah thats what i meant, not like a placeable fighter .they said they wanted to make them like bartenders that count for thraw limit ,thats bad!
That’s just you then. I do that with pets and everything. I like to farm thralls, but I don’t want to use them all. One could argue, I’m doing a service for the players that want unique thralls without enslaving them. I can just say I run a temp agency (not a slave trade). I can’t tell you how many Iblises, Risas, etc. I’ve found homes for.
@jmk1999 's shelter for destitute npcs.
I pretty sure the bartender is the first. If you notice with fighters/archers you have to place them in world then place them on door hooks{?}. So basically you place your tanner in the world, put her in that waifu costume, then put her on the tannery.
I full expect artisan costumes will be a big thing soon enough.
I have used a mod to do more or less that. I may not RP but I do like setting scenes so have dressed thralls in appropriate T1 armor for the style construction I’m using.
Of coarse I expect to see more nudest colony then costumed thralls on the public servers.
AI that could actually do that
well firetruck. was going to test with the bartender, figure they should work the same way the artisan thralls would. But foot nailed to floor, 2 fixes is pull your bracelet or check back later. Some one else might check but I believe when you take your bartender off the bar it goes in to your inventory.
I’d like to be bale to do that with other thralls. When I took down my raidme base I laid off 16 T3 archers I could have saved for if I wanted to set my raidme base back up for purge loot.
But if artisans are counted in your thrall limit that wouldn’t a good thing. Some one might get their thrall count bump. But it would make more sense to me to not count benched thralls.
I hate not being able to keep a tattoo on a bartender.
Yeah… that’s what I’m hoping. However, Funcom has done some weird things in the past and then chalked it up to balancing and coding.
“Sorry, we made it so all of your thralls in storage have disappeared because the coding removed all thrall icons. Don’t worry, your crafters already on benches have been converted for you. Have a nice day!
P.S.: you’re over the max thrall count now, so be sure to make some cuts or the system will do it for you in one week.”
What is your problem with the bartender?
After hard day at work I allow her to come upstairs and have some rest.
I know Hanar also wants to join.
Freedom for the bench Thralls!
40 archers There’s 10 thrall limit on my server. I know many other RP servers have no thralls at all. People who want to build castles and towns have to do it in solo, or on officials
Why? Private servers and Single Player are part of “official” gameplay.
Maybe there would be some benefit to creating a separate section for public server feedback, but silencing the majority of the player base because the public forums are crap won’t make the game better.
I’m also confused why people who don’t play on public servers should be removed from the Creative Corner section. After all, a great lot of creativity happens of private servers and SP.
If you just don’t like people who disagree with you, the solution might be removing yourself from the forums. I would wager that not even some people who play on the public forums would agree with your thrall limit suggestion. Some of them may even have posted on this thread.
That’s where most of it happens, in fact.
I do most of my experimenting single player. I want to build, not spend a lot of time making mats to build.
