Thrall nerf to far?

With middle gear people will die.

You should be able to take him in a purge - even just yourself and one or two followers - with no guards. With a few guards it would be total cake! Of course I mean leveled thralls though. The ones following me in the video were level 20 and I at level 60.

The fear of Rockslide is when or if he spawns inside your base (which happens but is kinda rare). He can occasionally one-hit T4 walls and roofs and he just rips up T1 and T2 blocks like tissue paper.

Except for Rockslide himself, the Rocknose purge is one of the easiest - only slightly harder than an Imp purge.

Doubtful! But that’s what bedrolls are for…

on 0 expertise ypu cant even wear a heavy armor, how did you got 209/2562?

PVP é assim mesmo, quem ficar OFF no horário de raid perde a base toda não sobra nada tem que ficar sempre logado nas horas de raid para não iniciar no deserto sem nada

I was wearing light armor!

Nop, you have two thralls with you :rofl::rofl:, this ain’t solo :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:.
When I say solo I mean SOLO. He is the only boss in game from both maps I still loose 9 to 10 fights. The one has to go flawless, but it’s easier on arena. On arena actually it’s very difficult to loose, you have no rocks or mountains, etc to block your dodge. Even now it’s not an impossible fight but it’s the hardest indeed. The new agility will grand me dodge with armor pen and hit without stamina. Imagine, light armor 1000 and predatory with extra armor pen, he is so dead, so dead m8.

Oh, I thought you meant Single Player… :stuck_out_tongue: Because:

Yes he’s harder all by yourself. You need to range him if you’re solo - and that takes kind of a long time. You need something to take his aggro otherwise - a rhino, or a thrall… something. And that’s needed because his reach is like 6 or 8 times your own and he hits hard - so need time to move outside his AOE and down an aloe potion every second or third time he hits you.

Believe me, ALL the boss fights are extremely balanced when you go alone, they have done tremendous excellent job on it. All you have to do is look the beast in the eyes and the next move is extremely predictable.
Don’t try it with rockslide, try it with others and you will understand what I am talking about, you’ll love it .

I hate that I can’t make more of these with the thralls nerf.

I mean in a way its not a bad thing, it makes us players do more, however we don’t want to rely on our thralls to solo 3 skull bosses etc, but the thralls still have a crap ton of hp roughly 5-7x the hp of the player

Why wouldn’t you want to take them with you though, like easy beasts of burden generally plus makes things to some degree easier, although I did get lucky on my new testlive start and go to the north to knock out the master huntress named thrall.

Thralls are just humans, they’re not meant to be super human, they are simply there to escort you and defend your base you yourself should be superior to the thralls and we are

Fleeing ain’t gonna keep you alive when you’re chasing the horse :L

Everyone talking about Thralls being “fine” with the nerfs, are you only considering this from the point of view of skilled players that know all the ins and outs of the combat system, and how to work things?

That says nothing about new players or those that have difficulties with the combat system, and relied on Thralls to help them out.

Cause it’s really sounding like a resounding “F*** You” to that type of player, is what I’m getting from reading the comments about this.

It’s all well and good to balance the Thralls, but you shouldn’t be balancing them for the skilled players. You should be balancing them in the middle. If they are too weak for unskilled players to benefit, you’re just telling them you don’t give a da*n about them, regardless of what they’ve spent on your game.

Instead of just a blanket nerf of thralls, with not a system that lets you nerf your own thralls?

We have Authority to power them up. We can corrupt it to power them up in a different fashion. The framework exists, why not have something that players can use to challenge themselves?

Not enforcing nerfs on everyone. But a way to adjust the Authority skill line to hamper your thralls and base guards. BY CHOICE, rather than inflicted on us all.

Authority/Corruption can be tweaked to work with placed guards, just make it more limited so they aren’t as strong as your direct follower.

Then a new line for Authority, I dunno what to call it. But have it weaken your thrall follower. Stuff to make using them more of a tactical experience that some players want.

Every time I hear about nerfs from Funcom on this, it always feels more like the unskilled players are getting shafted to benefit the skilled ones. And that’s just what Thrall nerfs sound like to me.

I’ve had to jack my single player damage up to like 2x and nerf damage taken down, just to be able to deal with groups. And in a lot of areas, you DO have to deal with groups of enemies. So I was struggling to do anything, because I can’t stun sh*t when three enemies are all attacking me at once. And barely paying attention to my Thrall. Without those adjustments, I was having to stop and waste bandages after every fight because it’s literally that bad and it shouldn’t be.

Maybe the new player changes will fix some of that and make it function better. But it still sounds like Funcom has gone too heavy handed and is tipping the scales once more in the other direction, when a lighter touch was all that was really needed.
