Food is no longer required to sustain Thralls or pets.

No food is necessary for thralls however feeding them gives them a 1 hour attack boost it is a easy way to mass feed however I don’t know if they all get a buff or one hungry thrall gets a boost and all others don’t. Food for thought though, pun not intended.
