ThrallExclusionDistance in ServerSettings.ini - Values ignored by Server & Single Player

Game mode: All
Type of issue: Bug
Server type: All
Region: EU (UK)

The setting ThrallExclusionDistance in ServerSettings.ini does not have any effect when changed from the default value of 500.

In single player, thralls can be placed right next to each other, so long as their collision boxes don’t collide.

In multiplayer, they have to be kept a fair distance away from each other, in order to be placed.

Changing the value for both my dedicated server, and my single player save, does not change the behaviour at all. There is a mod that changes it, but that’s a workaround, and it’s no longer being updated: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=884168480

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

  1. Start single player, and spawn two converted thralls.

  2. Try to place them together. There will be no invisible barrier preventing you from doing so; you can place them as close as you want to each other.

  3. Do the same, but on a dedicated server.

  4. You will not be able to place them close together, irrespective of the value for the ThrallExclusionDistance setting.
