After trying multiple options and fighters/pets I have been having the thralls/pets return to me when they have been ordered to hold, this ends up with them charging in in the middle of a fight, Previously I’d use stop when I didnt want them joining the fight and stay back waiting, i.e while I scouted a camp I’d leave them outside and they would wait till i called for them, now they just seemingly randomly decide to come back to me. The idea they would defend a position rather than stop and stand there getting killed would be great…if they actually hold the position instead of running through the camp aggroing everything they pass as they ignore their orders.

Yes I experienced this too. They are not staying in the hold position. Not even for a few several blocks away. It’s annpying. This is the most buggiest update ever since I joined at Siptah release. What a shame.

bit of further messing around and it seems they are teleporting to my position when I get too far away from them like they would if I used a portal or maproom or entered a dungeon previously, the distance triggering this seems super short though and the only way to prevent this seems to be to “place” them and get them to follow again later…issue though when you place them they will end up returning to that place either when you die or stop them from following or logout w/e the reason if you dont remember or get a chance to “place” them again at base. I hope this isn’t intended as its really not good. On the plus side they do actually fight back now when something comes up on them rather than just standing there getting battered. Although sometimes in order to save that special named thrall from your followers “Stop” was quite handy even if you knew they would get hammered on for a bit, I would suggest hold and stop should both be options.

Also, thralls and mounts are walking through CLOSED DOORS. I just can’t anymore…

nearly half of my ~100 purge archers came undone from their posts. Then the server (official 1511) crashed running a level 10 purge. When it came back up, the archers had to be reset again … and the server has just crashed again …
The “STOP” command made the slave completely passive, which made it possible to hit him. After receiving damage, the slave to the given food and received a buff to the chance of pumping the desired characteristic.
The most responsible were the first levels, when the slave pumped the level too fast and had to specifically slow down expirience gain.
Now all that remains is to disarm them so that they fight with their fists. It’s a real shame.
Also, the “STOP” command let allowed the thralls to turn on passive mode so that they would not kill a Named NPC. After all, Funcom has not yet made a hot button for changing weapons for thralls.

I’m only playing oceanic official servers, all I tried are the same, it seems quite simple, the thralls instantly return to you as soon as you leave their render range, this may be intended to force them to follow however if this is the case its a disaster for me, I have lost some thralls already due to it as the mounts in particular find alternate routes sometimes if you for example climb a ledge to look around and get too far away from them and aggro everything along the way and drag them directly to you, the fighter thralls on the other hand teleport directly to you which if your invisible amongst a crowd is REALLY bad. If thralls are now forced to return at render range this really needs to be disabled at least for hold command imo.
Also I’m finding thralls don’t attack the new hunted mobs it seems, I have been killed multiple times as they don’t target them at all, even when they get hit in follower aggressive setting.
For me its not random at all, they return as soon as I leave their render range, I tested multiple times putting them on hold and walking away backwards till their model disappears, instantly they return behind me and give the little grunt noise.

If i rememebr wak in one of his video about changes in ch4 talk that new command guard (it was hold before patch) have much shorter distance than old one and when you go outside its range thrall go back to you.
