Bug Description:
Thralls and pets won’t follow me. I get a message “(my character 's name) refuses to follow you,” all other commands work fine.
Bug Reproduction:
Only started having this issue after downloading update 3.0
I’m having this same issue on pc. No mods for thralls installed, just vanity stuff for building.
Issue is effecting thralls, pets, and mounts.
Anyone know of any resolutions yet? I can’t play the game like this!!

Horses will follow me but my thralls all give the " …Refuses to follow you" message.
For those receiving the “…Refuses to follow you” message I would ask if you have any mods that modify followers?
When updating my mods with pets I learned there is a new field on the Profession Template table there is a new field that defines whether the pet is a ‘warrior’ a ‘demon follower’ or an ‘undead follower’ basically.
If that field is not populated players will receive the “…refuses to follow you.” for those pets.
I suspect if you have a mod that is altering thralls, it may have touched the Profession Template table and impacted the base game companions.
Try removing your thrall/pet mod and see if the behavior clears.
Nope. I only have vanity and building mods and am still getting this.
I’m getting the same issue. No mods for pet/thralls installed, just the Dude’s mods. I tried removing all mods but the issue persists. Restarting the server, Steam, and the game client had no affect.
Turns out I had a mod that I’d forgotten about that did modify thrall behaviors.
I got rid of it and my thralls/pets function properly again.

for me when i removed Dudes_Creative_Constructions made by TheDude from the load order everything works again, the others 2 mods dont gave me any issues yet
I removed The Dude’s mods and now the thralls are working normally. Thank you for sharing your results.
Thanks everyone! The Dude’s mods were the issue. Sad I’m gonna have to rebuild my whole house though
