You think the recent Relic Hunter 100hp bug was intentional? RHTS is probably the most numerous thrall and they knew a lot of them would get killed. Maybe they just wanted to see how it effected server load?
With latest update Funcom fliped up many things, which looked like automatic processes to some certain degree.
Also one explanation was kinda hinting to something like that! The wrong attribute values of items, was because some tables were wrong linked.
What happend to the RHTS is an INBUILT game-mechansim, for thralls which shouldnt be tame-able.
All this guys here: Friendly Reminder: Emissaries + VATHIS + Many Others Being REMOVED
got converted to 100hp performers.
BUT: All this guys from previous list are UN-TAMEABLE. You could still knock up RHTS after the bug happened.
And as this mechansim only worked after server reboot, it was just a “fault” table.
Server reboots and the mechansim kicks in: A table provides certain thrall IDs which should be converted to 100hp dancers.
If there is a wrong one in this table, the server doesnt care. The server doesnt know what is right or wrong. The server only proceeds this list and does his thing.
It was not intentional, but thanks for the daily dose of aluminum.
I swear, my investments in Tinfoil Inc. and SilverfoilPaperHats.com went up massively after the Thrall Limit feedback thread. Just plain supply and demand, right there.
How’s that for an emote contest winner??
Don’t you see??? Relic Hunter thralls worked as stage hands when they filmed the fake moon landings! This was all a ploy to silence anyone who might expose the truth!
WAKE UP, SHEEPLE!!!

“Mulder… this conspiracy theory is clearly stressing you out.
It’s even affecting your grammar.”

Dreamers: I’m a dreamer. But I won’t be happy til you make me happy too.
Tinfoil hat person:

Each Purge is really just the NPC’s on that server rising up against you for enslaving their brethren, Funcom never coded them to do that but upon realizing this was happening on their test servers and not being able to pin point why or how the A.I. was doing this, they passed it off as a feature so the player never suspects that the NPC’s may somehow have developed a degree of sentience and emotion, what some might call a true A.I… Lol ok even I can’t keep a straight face while saying that

Conan A.I. being true A.I. lol.
In all seriousness, it would be kinda cool if there was a risk your Thralls would join Purges coming against you, the more thralls you had, the higher the risk. It would probably work as a sort of soft cap on thralls, too. Still, it’d be a lot of work to implement for “kinda cool”.
This is a pretty cool idea actually. Could even have some kind of loyalty stat which can be raised with certain things but will lower over time and by certain events, i.e every time you hit your thrall by mistake their loyalty decreases. Would be interesting, but like you said it would likely be a lot of work to implement.
Hmmm… have enough Thralls of both sexes, put them on guard in pairs, and they will be loyal to you. Get “girls only” (especially if you play female char yourself) and they will run away with any human Purge!
