Yeah that is the dream but what it really boils down to is time and popularity and less about skill. To get that type of PVP, you have to be on during the entire raid time and have the ability to summon at least 3-10 folks to combat the zerg that is coming after you.

Most of the casual folk don’t have that amount of free time to dedicate consistently and therefore you create an environment of burn out and resurfacing once recharged. This means that even if you never meant to be a zerg clan, you are one because you popped in with your crew and started going after everyone.

How many of the PVP folks skip a base that they discover if they find one with no one home? I see people say they do it but I have yet to see it in practice. No what I see are people going on and leveraging the game and blowing into the least resistance…maybe they justify it as someone else will take it first or what not but the end result is the majority of folks not online during raid hours loose their stuff and apparently it’s because of some 3 bstrd clans across all servers because everyone else claims they don’t ever do offlining.
