To the Management

Dear Conan Exiles Development Team,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my gratitude for the incredible work and dedication your team has put into Conan Exiles. As a player who has enjoyed the game since its release on the PS4 and owns every item within the Bazaar, all DLCs, and purchasable content, I have cherished the countless hours spent in this immersive world.

However, it is with regret that I must convey my frustration with the pricing model in the Bazaar. While I understand these items are not compulsory, I feel compelled to uninstall the game considering the little regard you seem to hold for your consumer base. The high costs of these items appear disproportionate to their value, making it difficult to continue supporting the game under these conditions.

O_o

You are deciding to uninstall the game after buying everything from the bazaar?

Right…

That makes complete sense.

Im sure that the team that works on it are dedicated and competent, the problem most of the times are the company and the superior admistration that inputs a lot of metas to the technicians and are not compromissed with quality, and dont give the time they need to test thing to work a little more to improve something and so on. Im an IT work that worked since comercial companies to government on my country and every place are the same history.

I’ve had a similar experience in another game. I was waiting for a specific item, and when it finally showed up in the cash shop, they bundled it into a 100 EUR pack. I ended up gifting the bundle to a friend and just uninstalled the game.

Everyone reacts to these things differently, but for some of us, it’s not about the money we’ve already spent—it’s about knowing when to draw the line and walk away when we’ve had enough.

I was heavy in to LOTRO. Spent a fair amount on it. Had 7 characters, played most classes, had my own piece of land, bought all the maps/quests. Then they did a completely unnecessary major overhaul of the game and went all tencent with the seasons, passes, and micro transaction. So many people quit the game at that time they started offering door prizes for logging in.

If properly motivated people will quit after buying all available content.

The OP’s complaint is that the bazaar prices are too high.

They were always too high.

If you think something is too expensive, you don’t protest by buying it and then not use it. At least a rational person does not.

Reminds me of that time, almost two decades ago, when I got my hands on the Twilight books and read through the whole saga. And then I looked back on what I spent time reading and said “WTF did I just do?”

My point is that maybe we’re not always rational. Maybe some people will sometimes make bad decisions and only come to regret them later. Maybe “you’re stupid” isn’t the best way to encourage them when they realize their mistake.

Let me be very clear here, I am not saying “you’re stupid,” I am saying “I don’t believe you.”

You are absolutely correct to your statement!
I am really sorry you end up to uninstall the game.
I do understand the reason you uninstall it.
You did well!
When you return, if you return…
Don’t get sucked by the fomo policy again, just enjoy the game with what you have. They are already more than enough.
And yes, the bazaar prices are very high.

I can’t believe you didn’t enjoy the Twilight books. That seems so out of character for you. :joy:

(btw, I totally mean this tongue and cheek)

Really? Because I am seeing method to the madness now. The new stuff isn’t cheap but as it ages, the pricing goes down to a more reasonable cost. There have been way too many things I’m highly tempted to purchase now that we are looking at 2 years into the system and we got some really good discounts on AoS items.

So yes whales get all of the new stuff at the launch pricing but after a while, us common folk, get the more reasonable pricing if we just wait. I don’t see an issue there. You aren’t obligated to buy everything and I would venture to say that FC doesn’t want you to. Its not in their best interest for you to buy it all and run into buyers remorse and get jaded (like you are talking about right now). No the best costumer is one that can pace themselves and maintain a steady flow of purchases throughout their consumer life span. That is something you can budget better than the ebbs and flows of impulsive or compulsive buying.

I’m a sucker for emotes, they get cheap enough I may have to buy them :flushed: I figure they are old enough and been around so I can research them first. But I don’t see funcom balling up to back their content.

My issue now is I have a ton of content and the memory of a head of lettuce, so it’s hard enough to find stuff as is

I did the same thing with the Wheel of Time series. It took me 6 books to realize that the author was boring the absolute hell out of me. I still look back in confusion at this.
