Returning player that just remembered why I quit last time. Does anyone have a workaround for their tome of kurak when it won’t show up in the thaumaturgy bench to be upgraded? I’m on official Xbox server. Any help is appreciated.
Is the book from the sorcery cave in the bench?
More info needed so we can help understand your situation. Is the book not visually appearing on the bench in the cave so you can’t select? is the book not appearing in your personal bench after dragging it from your inventory to the bench?
The book is in the bench. This is an old problem I was hoping there was a solution to. After using the old yellow lotus potions it bugged out the bench, or book, or sorcery itself so you can’t upgrade the tome. Normally you see the tome in the bench and there is its icon on the right, next to the wand, explaining what is needed to upgrade. Here, it’s just not there. Only the wand icon so you can’t upgrade the book. The tome is not upgraded all the way, I have the beginner spells unlocked only. My inventory is not full.
The only workaround is to send your report on the help center unfortunately and hope that an admin exists for the legacy console version.
When it happened to me years ago on single player , the only thing that “fixed” it was a high lvl purge that went really bad , ending up destroying and killing most of my base, including my bed and bedroll also. So when i died and spawned back to the beach (Siptah session) my sorcery knowledge returned . But it’s true that i encounter this sorcery issue only once, in this particular session, never again.
So you have to be very unlucky mate having the same issue on different character creations , thanks for reporting anyway and i hope you’ll get your help.
Actually it’s the same character and bug from back in 2022 it looks like. I was returning at that time to check out sorcery and ran into this bug and stopped playing. It’s all coming back to me now lol.

Have you already tried to “relearn” sorcery by going to the cave to interact with the book again , it might unblock you.
But there is risks that indeed you’ll have to start a new character if nothing works…
Here’s the thing…
Read this feedback if you wish to understand the situation on consoles that used to be the same for some pc users also. When you loose this knowledge, or any other game breaking bug , the only way for us is to delete even in single player, not even admin mode works.
the person here has spoken of loosing sorcery because of the old yellow lotus potion bug that would erase knowledege learned in the world , yellow lotus potion effect was changed because of this bug, but If I remember correctly with this bug you could relearn the stuff by interacting again with the knowledge tablet/book ect … not the same as having the bug , where out of nowhere you loose your knowledge
I have tried resetting my knowledge and destroying my tome and going to the cave to get a new one. It doesn’t change anything unfortunately.
