Its not that they rely on it; it actually has been a joke with dennis that people can look stuff up that they don’t want you to know except by playing. The idea is that the longevity of the play experience for a user is because they need to figure it out; not be hand held. They want you to have to figure things out. People complain about its lack of survival (me being one of them) yet people expect a how-to on the entire game, which spoils the challenge to a degree. I run into this all the time when people ask me where to find sorcery on Isle of Men. I want them to play to find it, but of course someone else will say “oh its here” and then they cut right to it. So yeah, its fan made because the fans want it. Dennis prefers if you find out by playing.
