UE4 Version was becoming increasingly unattractive

Just a quick observation before the upgrade. Over the last few days since the announcement, I’ve watched the trailer countless times on various channels. Hoping to find more information, maybe a leak… well, nothing there. Everyone stuck to the agreement. Then there were all those Crimson Desert videos constantly popping up in my recommendations, oh, and of course, that pirated version. Anyway, to finally get to the point.

Conan Exiles in UE4 was becoming increasingly unattractive, washed-out, joyless…

Before the announcement, I hadn’t really noticed this. Can it really happen that fast? Just seeing the amazing visuals of UE5 and other games has completely changed my perspective.

As a console player, I refuse to watch that trailer any more than the one time I saw it. No sense in getting hyped for something I can’t have. I still play the UE4 version and enjoy it for what it is… even if what it is, isn’t very good.

I had console gamers in mind, which is why I decided to start this thread in the PC section. But reading your post, I can really relate. I’m truly sorry. I’ve often cursed consoles because you have to put up with an ugly interface just to keep it console-compatible. But to be excluded like this now, no matter how understandable the reasons may be, is really tough.

You know, a release or patch day never goes smoothly. We’ll probably serve as beta testers first, and if things go well, they’ll surely support consoles too.

But in the end, it does dampen my joy. Knowing that only some get to have a piece of the pie.

I’m hoping this is the case. Funcom hasn’t been very reliable with their promises, particularly for consoles, so we’re all a bit hesitant to believe that… but I do hope that’s the case.
