Sure. I took a video but is there a way for me to upload a video here? It doesnât seem like that is an allowed file type for me.
I also have some updated info.
I am at my base right outside of sinners refuge. I have a small well that I use to fill my waterskins. I usually drop off a bunch of resources at the base which involves a lot of inventory management. Then I refill my skins.
As you know there are a lot of issues with inventory management now. One of the issues I frequently see is that as Iâm moving stuff around between my inventory and crafting stations, it will make a couple of items in my inventory, that I have not moved, disappear. When this happens things become âoffâ. Dropping items ends up dropping the wrong item and refilling the skins seems to fail. It is like the index into the array / list that represents the inventory is off.
I replicated it by doing a resource run, seeing that inventory work caused a full stack of snake arrows to disappear. Then tried to fill the skins which causes the water in the well into be consumed but the skins are not filled.
Prior to this resource run, I noticed it didnât happen when my inventory was not âoffâ. So it appears to be inventory related.
If you let me know how I can upload the video Iâd be happy to do so.

Greetings Exile,
Thank you for the additional information. Can you upload the video to Youtube or to a similar platform and share the link with us?
We hope to hear back from you.
Here you go:
Note that my inventory does not show the stack of snake arrows which is actually in my inventory and the skinâs water level never rises.
Can you make glasses filled with water and then cook them into purified water⌠then try to use and refill?
I have work arounds. For example I can refill the skins from the river. I mainly want to report the bug so that they fix and test it on the next hotfix.

@tiagoturilli, thanks for the tip. That looks much better.
But I believe you are supposed to be able to fill from a well. It was working before the latest update and it seems to still work from a well if the inventory is not in a bad state.
I can confirm that it is still working on pc. I successfully refilled yesterday from a large well (had to climb into it to do it, but thatâs a different issue, lol) and refilled from a small well earlier in the week. In both cases the waterskin was in the hotbar and I could just select the item, target the water and âuseâ to refill (not sure exactly how the process works with controller). (My inventory is generally set to âno sortâ if thatâs relevant). It definitely sounds like the problems youâre having seem to come from a bug.

This is still and issue after hotfix 4/23/24.
FYI this still happens occasionally after age of heroes release but not as frequently for some reason.
I thought the wells didnât work also but what you have to do is click on the bucket and not the well and itâs works fine.
In case havenât realized FC seems to enjoy perfecting things eventually. So donât be surprised if one day thereâs some flaming room about map rooms not working because after an update nobody thought to have belly up to the posts and have to actually press the button on top rather than just click at the post from a distance.
two cents:
As [DanQuixote] experienced - had to climb in the well to fill.
TS - perhaps -Try climb up it(the same well where u cannot fill) and check again, just for laughs perhaps? ( walk around etc)
in case of collision sloppy well parameters related perhaps?
I fill skins from the inventory like this too, and have had some struggles in the past. Iâve found repositioning the view on the well can help, but not always.
An observation on the posted videoâŚ
The player is consuming the contents of the water skins while attempting to fill them AND when stepping away from the well, the water level is very low, as if the attempts to fill the skin is also consuming the water from the well.
Have no clue how/why this mechanic is messed up - but it is clearly not working correctly.
