I hear your point, but I disagree on the point of allowing lazy development which is what is the result of letting them off the hook. In that respect, it is a big deal to have someone say, “Oh look at all the great features we’re going to give you!” but only give you half of what they promised.
I can cite the example of say, No Man’s Sky that promised pie in the sky sandbox game play but didn’t come close to delivering what they promoted.
