Unexplained fatal error with blank dialogue box

Earlier today when I launched the game, as my singleplayer save was loading, it crashed with a dialogue box saying “A fatal error has occurred and the game will now close.” in the title bar, the dialogue box itself however was blank. I attempted loading a second time, without changing mods, and it loaded perfectly fine, no other programs but Steam were running in the background at the time.

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

  1. Load game
  2. Bizarre inexplicable crash
  3. Load again
  4. Works?

Hard to tell whether it is a game issue or a mod issue. Most crashes are mod related in my experience.

About all I can tell you is to verify your file integrity just to be on the safe side. There’s really no where else to go with the information at hand.
