There seems to be an unstable internet connection between the client and the Live services channel which causes a random connection loss.
Upon loss of the connection a notification pops up advising to ensure there is an internet connection. (This happens despite the fact my internet seems to be stable and running normally on a Fiber Optic Network). As a result, I am “kicked out” to the main menu with that notification advice to ensure there is an internet connection.
Occasionally (but not consistently, the loss of connection also causes (or results in) the Steam Client connection to disconnect. (May be unrelated).
Been having random connection drops recently on official servers and on my private server which is on G-Portal which is where Funcom runs it’s official servers I believe. Maybe a G-Portal issue?
Not having this issue on non-Funcom games just Conan Exiles.
Note: Not having the issue on Dune Awakening, so if it’s running on G-Portal that may not be the issue.
I apologize for my lack of clarity. I run my own private server, so I have reason to believe the issue isn’t tied to GPortal. Especially now since you brought up that important point. The one thing we do share in common along with Gportal is the Live Services connection.
There also seems to be a somewhat rare occasion where when back tracking the connection loss that I’ve found Steam incidentally Closed on the client side.
I guess it might be a toss up between the Steam Client and Live Services. But that’s just going on some basic concept where anybody else might be experiencing this issue happens to be running the game on the same platform or not.
