A quick question which I could not find an answer for in the FAQ:
If I have a character on both the EL server and the IoS server that are being merged together, what happens? The EL and IoS servers that I play on are being merged together, and I’m wondering if I need to take any sort of action prior to May 4th to avoid any mishap.

The siptah servers on steam are going away for good. There is no merge. Entirely new, linked (to Exiled Lands) siptah servers are going to be replacing that.
Now if you wait for the auto-merge, you could in theory be kicked to a server you already have a character on. Idk how that’s gonna be chosen. If that were to happen, the old character will be overwritten by the new one transferring to it. If you wanna avoid this altogether, you’ll want to take your siptah character and move it manually to another EL server OTHER than your current one ahead of the update. You can then move it to the new, linked Siptah server when the update goes live.
The exiles servers will still be considered one server that includes both maps, which means only one character can occupy that server from one funcom ID. I understood the OP question to mean their siptah server is merging to their exiles server based on the merge list they released. Lucky coincidence. My siptah server is not merging to the exiles server I play on, so I have to manually transfer the siptah character AFTER I delete the exiles character. My siptah character is more advanced so I’m ditching the exiles one. You cannot have 2 characters on one official server so they would need to choose one to keep.
Yeah, I understood that. That’s why I said they need to move their Siptah character to a different server AHEAD of the merger. You can do the same thing if you can still transfer your character… unless you don’t wanna be on two servers and just want to get rid of one of them. I don’t know about you, but I’d rather have options, so saving that siptah character on another server might be in OP’s best interest.
True true. Ya I never really went far with my exiles character, it was mainly for refreshing bases. My biggest problem right now is deciding what stuff to bring
