Hey fellow exiles, I have been having a great time this past month or so playing Conan. Now I’m excited about the update coming, just wanted some advice on what a noob needs to do to get ready for all the changes. Thanks for all the help so far
Well, one big thing would be to repair all of your legendary items to full durability.
the noobs could never run away like they used to. you are screwed my friend.
You play in pvp or pve ?
For my game, I don’t do anything. The changes are “permanent” so my attitude is always to just rip off the bandaid and go with it. Acceptance is one of the steps to recovery.
With the changes coming you need to rethink you base defenses and get beefier. Look at your purge meter. If you are due soon, try to trigger before tomorrow so you have more time to blueprint you security measures.
Legendary repairs are good but don’t waste your supply on stuff you don’t use. Just focus on what you do use and decorate with the others.
Get the components for beastial memory handy (you won’t need the ash after tomorrow) even if you don’t have the recipe because you will after tomorrow. Expect to restat your attributes and play around to see what works best for you.
I play PVE😁
From what I’ve heard there won’t be a purge unless you have a “Treasure Room” is that not true?
Base defense is the only thing that matters to me since I can not afford to loose buildings of my city right now. So I am collecting all berserks I get from my purges right now and just place them all around my perimeter. Since I am getting mostly nordheimer purges, I need to be a little more carefull now.
the treasire purge is not until chapter 2. Chapter 1 will still use the meter.
That’s the plan but the plan is being implemented throughout the age. Someone that can actually play in the beta can correct me but I believe the treasure room is being introduced but has no effect on the purges yet and that will come in chapter 2. So essentially the treasure room is just chilling out and not affecting anything yet.
Yeah I’m not a big fan of the Purges, got myself a Convergence Trap as soon as I found out about it…no one told me that thing will damn near kill you though…but I lived and learned. I can see the pluses of the Purges but I’m not really wanting to play a castle defense game…not yet anyways.
There is secret knowledge on how to avoid purges that I am curious if it’s still functions in the AoW update.
Basically purges are clan specific things and when players leave clans then go back to the rule of individual (clan of one). This means that if you kick everyone out and then leave the clan as the clan leader, the clan resources immediately go to the last person in the clan (the leader) as individual ownership and all purge meters are reset because the old clan is gone and all individuals got reset timers. Then you just redo the clan and wala…purge meter back at 0.
Not really an option right now for me since I have people that aren’t active in my clan. It would be an issue to maintain my thrall count if I kicked those people. But yeah… it’s especially good when starting out.
On a related note… I’ve been curious if it still works the way it use to, in that the purge will attack any base your clan owns, or just your vault? The vault makes sense, but would probably upset some that like the randomness. I’d actually like to see the vault get attacked and I can prepare for it. Also, I could build a vault somewhere away from my base in a purge area I want to get. Then, when I get bored, I can change it to a new location and rebuild it.
Here’s another way to prepare: do NOT put any modifier kits onto any legendary items you obtain in these last hours. Let them sit without kits, so that the update will give them their new durability.
Here is a tip spend all your Ancient Obel whatever spelling while you can before they go into next ERA and shut down
If I am incorrect someone clue me in
Build smart. Create choke points with a clear path. You want a cull de sac at the entry so your thralls face the npcs with vantage. Use natural terrain and ruins as cover. They can’t demolish that or climb. Start making heavy armors that buff health and slap them on thralls. Use potions and food to buff them. Abuse bulk plating. Make potions for yourself too. Now it’s the time for those expensive ones. That’s the best use you can give to the scales you got from the sunken city . Place a bedroll and a chest with an extra kit, health potions and buffs in case you die.
Use palisades wisely.
Heal thralls between waves.
Most important, keep your cool. Don’t go crazy when fighting. Good luck!
I thought the mekmosis spire was still active…however that doesn’t help Siptah at all. So yeah I could use confirmation on if Siptah has a means to obtain/spend the ancient O coins.
Have not played any Exiles since the last age should have. been on Siptah. Tonight will gather some more coins and spend.
