Honestly…my oppinion is funcom helping cheaters, most known cheater clans if shown would mean people would leave that server and play elswhere, now funcom helps mask cheaters, hackers and the bad people with this, the worst idea you ever came up with…
and why is there still a option for player online list?if you camouflage the bad players?

If you dont play pvp dont comment, unless you need attention then yes comment, because you have no idea what you speak off and when bombs place the timer resets is known fact but seeying if someone is online, thanks to funcom tab works fine dont even need a hammer…so this hidden username stuff has no meaning, no point at all shall we say?
what works well for one person is not usable for another. look at the whole thing from the perspective of pvp and offline raiding. if i can’t see who’s online, i can’t see who’s offline either, which makes choosing a target for offline raiding much harder.
disclaimer: I’m not a pvp player, but I’m aware of the different game modes and the different needs for this modes
Definitely this. For pvp-oriented clans, knowing when the guys they were attacking weren’t online was a huge advantage, since they would know when to expect zero resistance. Conversely, they would know if an enemy clan was online, and station one or two people at their base while the rest ran errands, so they could raise the alarm if they were attacked.
If you stumble upon a structure, you can still know who the owner is by making a hammer or finding a placeable (door, temple…). If the name of one of those “cheater clans” shows up, you know what to do.
sorry but thats complete bs, i can see if someone is on, hold tab on someones base, if the timer is 167.55 i will know they are there, so many ways to see if people are there, if the reason is to prevent offline raids, here is a tip be active and play pvp when pvp time is, if that clan isnt onine during pvp they dont really care if they get raided…that complained of i was raided as i was offline is so lame and old
Not at all. If people are inside their base, the structure’s decay timer gets permanently renewed even if they are sleeping. No need for them to be online.
Well, I just checked it out and it seems that I was indeed wrong. I would have sworn it was the other way though. To quote the wiki, though, “Placing an explosive jar on a non-owned structure or damaging part of it will increase the decay timer to the maximum”, which means that a recently damaged structure might give you the false impression that the player is active. The decay timer, thus, is not a surefire method to check if someone’s there.
Anyway, moot point. To see if someone is online and in their base you now need to physically move there instead of just hitting Esc, and you risk getting caught sneaking around.
i have no clue what your talking about, moot point = why the f funcom helps masking the bad players…this hidden username crap is the worst idea, why do we have a playerlist online at all, if they hide the cheaters, the hacker clans and the garbage players from the good players…play the server and find out so the server doesnt stay dead, maybe here is an idea fix the cheating aspect, undermeshing, and glitches…

oh and btw. enter your enemies landclaim to check if someone is online or not is exactly what makes pvp a good player experience. hopefully you find some new “friends” during your decay timer checks
thats not really my point and they could introduce offline protection if this offline riading is such a problem but what if someone raided you stays offline during raidtime on purpose…what you have to do then?please enlight me with your wise comment
