VAC question, getting around bad software

I normally play single player but am looking to try out a server. I searched for VAC disabled servers because “anti cheat” systems for one don’t work and two are highly invasive. I tried to join it but it still told me “install battleye!”. Thoughts?

VAC and BattleEye are two different systems.

If you don’t want to use BattleEye you’ll have to find a friendly private server not using it or just rent one yourself.
