Walls vs Frames

What I am trying to find out is, Is there a difference between walls and frames (the walls with a window in them)? Or do they both offer the same amount of heat/cold protection?

Well, if you are close to a window you don’t get a full shelter buff which will ultimately affect your resistance as well. I had a topic somewhere where I compared the shelter buffs:

To add one more test related to the subject. Outside temperature naked: 37oC Inside Heat Resistance building with 100% shelter buff: 30 oC Inside Heat Resistance building with 80% shelter buff: 31 oC (near a window) Inside Heat Resistance building with 60% shelter buff: 34 oC (near a door) Outside Heat Resistance building with 20% shelter buff: 36 oC (near the wall but outside)

An additional consideration is, if you are on a PVP or Conflict server, other players can shoot through windows.
