Don’t make warpaints a one-time consumable.
What I find odd is that we don’t simply take the brush and the dye bottle of our choice and whip away. Why add a tier of recipes when we could just combine a brush with a dye bottle and voilà. I understand that a colour pattern is involved, but the papers could just be utilise without being consumed in the process. So yes, I agree with you absolutely. Here’s how it could work:
Preparations
- involve necessary stations
- make a mirror (a station)
- make a paint brush
- make a glass bottle × 2
- make a paper sheet
- make a pen
- make ink
- make dye powder
- make a thrall (an artist)
Tattoo pattern template
- combine ink and a bottle
- combine the pen, ink bottle and the paper sheet
- equals a template with a tattoo pattern on it
- received template does not decay
- received template is not a consumable
- pattern is based on a preset preference
Dye bottle
- combine water and a bottle
- combine dye powder and the water bottle
- equals a bottle of dye
- received item does not decay
- received item is a combo consumable
- consumption produces an empty bottle
Applying a tattoo
- involve the mirror or optionally a thrall
- combine the brush, dye bottle and the template
- equals a tattoo pattern on our character
- time spent equals work quality
Thrall’s purpose
- with a mirror only the front is painted
- with a mirror the process is significantly faster
- with a mirror the quality is low
- with a thrall the whole character is painted
- with a thrall the process needs two dye bottles
- with a thrall the quality is high
Cleaning
- wash the brush and the bottle(s)
- washing allows to use the items again
