We are being sold an incomplete DLC

Recently, after purchasing the Turan add-on, I found out that there are more Turan objects in the game and the add-on includes only a part of it. I felt cheated, but no one cares about my feelings, let’s talk rationally.
I think that the developers should equip the add-ons with the missing objects, this will arouse the interest of old players, revitalize the construction, variety.
The problem of extracting money from the players by selling DLC bit by bit at the cost of a subscription in a project like WOW causes the problem of irritation and starvation of the project, now I will explain what I mean.
When the bazaar offers partial goods for a lot of money, I see no reason to buy them like other players, this leads to the fact that the game seems to have content but it is not actually there, I have not seen any items from the bazaar on my server.

When you click on the bazaar item it opens up details about the item.
There you can see what’s included in the purchase.

The problem is not that, the problem is that the DLC does not include the full content, and then just the missing part is sold in the market and the game pass, I think this is a bad trend. I’m sure the developers are not troubled.

It’s the same as if you were served an incomplete dish without salt or cold.

Don’t really know if I miss something, but as far as I can tell there’s a DLC “Treasures of Turan Pack” which can be bought for like €10 and the “Turanian Expansion” sold in the Bazaar.

I don’t see what you’re missing that hasn’t been described in the description?
I’m actually pretty happy they extend the building sets even more with expansions D:

Your mistake was buying anything in the bazaar. It’s all buyer beware.

An “add on” means it is part of a set and belongs with another set, that apparently you hadn’t bought. previously.

As @prologue1337 says, you can click on the set to see what is on offer.

Funcom announced before the Age of Sorcery that the old-styled DLC formats were no longer going to be used as it was not economical and also that allowing a more varied selection of items instead of the set DLC packs may not be fair. Of course, it is more likely that the change was made to make more money overall - but also to let players choose what they want.

The cycling of the Bazaar items, though, is very annoying. Funcom should show ALL items available and just bring in some unique looking items each chapter to keep things interesting.

But, there are not any items missing from the new styled bazaar - which is why there’s also no standard price (I am guessing).

I’m not sure if English is your native language or not. If not, then maybe the game wasn’t translated properly, because in English it says clearly “expansion”. It’s an expansion pack, which means it expands already existing content.

You want the Treasures of Turan DLC for free because you didn’t realize the expansion set was an expansion set? Um, no.

So don’t buy it. That’s what some of us do and it works out for us.

For example, I haven’t bought a single armor set from the Bazaar, because they’re ridiculously overpriced.

That sounds like your own personal anecdote. There’s plenty of Bazaar content on the server where I play.

There is no “missing part”. Literally none of the old DLCs had any of these pieces that the Bazaar building sets introduced. No curved walls or ceilings, no L-shaped stairs, no double doors, nothing like that.

If they made a DLC with wedges but without wedge foundations, and then sold wedge foundations as a Bazaar offering, that would be a “missing part”.

But coming up with new, original pieces that DLCs didn’t have before? That’s not missing content, that’s new content.

Slight difference.

It’s like being sold a meal, and then offered a dessert in the same theme (such as kheer after lamb roganjosh, or bastani and faloodeh after shish kabob) for an additional fee.

If you want to look at items originally slated for inclusion but later removed… well, those are mostly thrown weapons, such as javelins in Pictish or Aquilonian style. But don’t lose too much sleep over it.

No, if I understood correctly, it’s backwards
They bought the 10$ Treasures of Turan DLC… and they’re upset that it does not contain the new Turanian building expansion set…
They’re saying the devs should have went back instead and stuffed these new pieces into the Treasures of Turan DLC for free… so that when they buy that, it contains all Turanian pieces :stuck_out_tongue:

Now that…I can see a market for. Base DLC $10, DLC + expansion $20.

The whole topic is backwards :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Joking aside, whichever direction the argument goes, it’s wrong. In both cases, it hinges on their misconception about the “missing content”. :man_shrugging:

Exactly.
