Started out rough. The day before I explored the jungle in its entirety and defeated the boss. I lost my body in the process in the Passage. DO NOT GO THERE IT’S BUGGED (or I didn’t do something right) because you cannot climb back out. Somehow my thrall returned to me with my most valuable loots (it was a long shot but worked) the next day. Anyway yesterday I did the dungeon at the Mound and Black Keep. Pretty simple really. Late last night I decided I wanted to beat the volcano dungeon so I created whole new epic set just for this venture. Well, it did not go well. I stumbled through and died to lava within 30 minutes. I regretted not watching YouTube but I chose not to in order to enjoy the experience better. When I was resurrected I set out to retrieve my body with non-epic set of light armor, some ice, iced tea and honey to restore health on the run. It was weird because on my map my body was flickering wildly, and, moving. When I got there I couldn’t see my body for a bit, then I saw my body floating or sliding underneath lava. I only saw pixels of it but it was there. I got as close as I dared, toe nearly dipping into the lava WHILE moving sideways and spammed F button to loot, but it didn’t work. so I held E to loot and something prompted and I quickly chose an option. Didn’t take. Desperate, I tried one last time and actually read the options available to me within split second, and chose the option to loot. I’ve never looted this way because this type of option was never available in the past, but voila, everything was back on my body. I think that was the peak of my adventure actually.
Then I pored over the map carefully again and found the actual path to my destination. Well, it took few hours for me to beat this one because one, I didn’t know I had to climb to get the recipes up top. Long ago when I first started the game I looked up the “best” craftable weapons and so from that I remembered where to get it. I just didn’t know I had to climb. Luckily for me I brought a set of light armors, from my desperate attempt to retrieve my body! So I made it after few tries. I had trouble determining exactly WHERE to climb. After that um, I jumped into the light. I read about this as well at work. Now, the boss was stupid easy. Getting there gave me three mini heart attacks from the platforming I’ve had to do. I’m TERRIBLE at platforming. It took me a while to realize that I really did have to jump that first time. I mean I couldn’t believe that I had to do it for a while there so I was exploring every other possible ways to get across, that was the only option left to me. So with an internal scream I jumped. Anywho I didn’t muck up the jumps thank goodness, and it’s all behind me now.
