Before it made sense to have armor that gave you plus to encumbrance, because you could save attribute points.

Now it’s like wow, so useless stat.

Getting to level 20 is not hard.

Because when you’re overencumbered your stamina recharges significantly slower. The heavier your load the slower, which is extremely noticeable in combat.

Plus, it’s a bonus to characters who don’t spend a third of all their points in to one stat, so they can use those points elsewhere.

Well I am definitely not going to fight with a 20 expertise spec, lol

20 Strength already gives enough encumbrance bonus to be able to carry a PvP kit with 20 pots, 10 antidotes and 2 weapons and still stay below 50%.

Two far opposite ends of the spectrum. Neither of these account for agility builds, authority builds, or people using heavy armor. The bonus may not be for you, but that doesn’t make it pointless.

If the abyss armor is weakened, the heavy armor is quite a possible choice. The percentage of damage reduction is greatly reduced, with normal light armor there is every chance to get a oneshot.

Reduction is not the same. Armor pieces have been rebalanced and the entire DR% formula was changed.

Old dr formula was AV/(AV+250)
New dr formula is AV/(AV+500)

The curve has essentially doubled, meaning you need higher amounts of armor now to reach higher DR. To account for this, they increased medium and heavy armors accordingly. Light now gives less armor than before, including big nerfs to that 2.3 build

I have one build not spec’ing expertise, and one that is but isn’t dumping all into it first (because that would be dumb.) Both find +capacity useful, esp for early farming/looting.
