Hello Funcom Team and Community Managers,
I am writing this post out of a deep care for Conan Exiles, but also out of a profound sense of exhaustion that I know many in the community share.
With the transition to Conan Exiles Enhanced on Unreal Engine 5, we were all hoping for a fresh start. Unfortunately, we are already seeing hackers pop up and disrupt the game. This is the exact issue that riddled the game throughout its lifecycle on UE4, and seeing history begin to repeat itself is incredibly discouraging.
What makes this situation significantly worse than the hackers themselves is the feeling of being completely unheard.
Whenever players bring these urgent issues to the forums, the response is almost always a boilerplate instruction: go through the official reporting system, file a Zendesk ticket, try our help center, and remember that the official forums are “not the place for reporting players.”
We follow those steps. We file the reports. And then, nothing happens. The problem persists, the hackers remain, and our gameplay is ruined.
As a dedicated player base, we deserve better than a redirection link. We deserve:
1.) An Official Comment: We deserve an actual, human message back from a Community Manager or a member of the development team, not just a generic automated reply or a push toward a new help center. We need a clear public comment that this issue is actively being acknowledged.
2.) Active Transparency: Direct reassurance that hackers are something Funcom will actively and aggressively deal with, rather than relying solely on a quiet reporting system that feels like a black hole.
3.) Accountability: Knowing that when a community spends hours building, playing, and supporting this game, our reports aren’t just being shuffled away to keep the forums clean.
It is frustrating enough to have hackers ruin our gameplay loop and hard work. It is exponentially worse to feel entirely dismissed by the team behind the game.
We love this game and want to see it thrive on UE5, but we need to know that the team has our backs. I respectfully ask for an official comment on this post, not an automated ticket closure, and not a link to a support desk, confirming that Funcom acknowledges the severity of the hacking problem and is taking real steps to address it.
Thank you for your time.
