Clear the cache on your Series X. If you’re playing single player, don’t put absolutely everything in the one location. Place a large carpet as a guide, if it has issues rendering, you have too much placeable crap in the area. If you insist on having everything, spread your bases out so they’re one per zone and under 5k build pieces.
Just one other thought - are you always starting at the bases in the desert? Have you tried logging out in the forest areas, restarting the console and logging back in? I remember when I had multiple large bases on my old PC that performance got noticably worse the more of those bases I had visited during the same session - presumably it was keeping something in memory even if it wasn’t still rendering the whole thing because I was now out of range.
Ive done everything testing out different results. it’s like you said and I’ve been saying as well… the game has memory issues….
on top of that, the animation of the trees and vegetation of hundreds of trees and bushes, all at the same time and as far as the eye can see it’s a BIG burden to the (console) graphics processor and thus severely affects FRs and graphics performance.
I can reproduce this condition any time in the forest areas without a single brick laid down.
What’s your current build / placeable count? Are any of the bases within render range of one another? How many tile sets are you using in one base? How many bases are you running on EL? If your SP game is struggling on Series X, you’ve overbuilt.
The thing is that I’ve made my largest bases in the desert to test this. 0 issues. I’m on single player on Series Xbox. so I know over building is not the issue. You should be able to build an entire city, at least in single player, if you wish or isn’t that what they show in the intro Video?
This game is marketed as such ..
Survive, “Build" , Dominate
I can survive, and I can Dominate.
I can’t build?
For me this is a core part of the game and it should work. period.
for the record… I’m not saying it does not work. it works under limited content and it works pretty bad, graphics wise, in the areas that already have many harvestable objects specifically animated trees, vegetation, etc .
You all need to remember that each tree, bush, etc… has harvest points, has an animation, and has a shadow. its like having hundreds of thralls doing emotes as far as the eye can see in forest and tropical areas at the same time. and some trees are huge and are non harvestable. its too much… at least for console.
This is why less or at least moderately vegetated áreas don’t have this problem. nor the deserts. nor the dungeons.
I can give specific letter and number map coordinates, but generally speaking most of the East forests on the Exiled Lands suffer this problem, some areas worse than others. Siptah also.
It might be something with your server settings or save file then. First try fiddling with your land claim radius, then try clearing your local save and allow the cloud to resync, if that fails, do the same with your gamertag. You can also try shifting a couple of bases from EL to IoS as you can move between maps at will. Like you I also have a Series X and play SP. However, my bases (Hinterlands, glacier, jungle) aren’t having any issues. Zero frame drops, no hang time on the load screen.
well I’ve by demolished half of my base in these parts of town to the point is not crashing as much.
my other bases in the more remote areas are good and never had issues.
thanks for replies.
