Even better if they can hit one of those numerous Norwegian public holidays and be gone for a week or so :+1:

Sep 30th, that way it still meets the Q3 deadline.

I hope not soon… There’s few issuess / bugs that should be fixed first but knowing Funcom policy they will be fixed… long after release unfortunatelly or who knows when.

Players who complain about bugs are clearly not playing the game. Conan Exiles has always been in a state of work in progress just like any live service out there.
To expect Conan Exiles to be in a perfect state means you’re a Karen.

Official release or not, i’m already playing it and I couldn’t care less.

My meat birthday, you Savage. I owe you some Crom Coins.

Yeah we suspossed to be happy about new bugs that are gamebreaking and just ignore it? What kind of mentality is that?

Obviously there’s gonna be bugs in any game but when there’s gamebreaking or impactful one then it should be fixed before release update - that’s why there’s TESTLIVE for.

WORK IS FOR LOSERS!

Release date has been announced :tada: Check out our post here: News - Conan Exiles

Wow! That’s was… unexpected to say the least. Albeit, this is a good news. Yay!

You wouldn’t think that if you were on testlive. My candid opinion is the servers will go down the first weekend and be down till following Monday.
But then I’m a pessimistic cynic so…

I’ve been expecting the update to come out sometimes mid October. I am still glad for early release though. I know that TestLive servers are different from live servers, especially for consoles, so… Will see.

So release is announced as September 1, 2022.
I’m a bit concerned about outstanding bugs and balance issues. I don’t want to damage the game’s reputation with new players.
That’s now less than one week away. Hopefully, things will be in good shape when the time comes.

I have seen a bad release ruin the reputation of a few games. Didn’t matter a month later they were solid, the damage was done.

I see dates for steam and Xbox but no mention of playstation. Did I miss something?

Wow o-o 1st September! That is…soon, if you consider there were NEW bugs reported after 3.0.1 came to testlive.
I’d highly recommend to postpone it to the 15th of September, to give modders the ā€œampleā€ amount of time they were promised to prepare their mods, but I know that won’t happen. :pensive:

So that leaves us with the hope for many small patches after the launch…i guess

I know they need the income and I know they have to answer to their creditors. But will funcoms usual release strategy work this time?
Who’s gonna pay 10 bugs for the battle pass at release? As experience with prior patch releases taught us, that feature might not even work as intended.
I’m puzzled °-°

September 1st … FINALLY.
Super excited

Hmmm  I highly doubt that a botched release would harm funcoms reputation any more. :slightly_smiling_face: At least not with regular players and returnees.

We are used to it. Conan Exiles is a wonderful game and we learned to cope with bugs. No one I know expects this patch to run well.
We just wish every time funcom would do better.
ā€œIt is what it isā€ is the best attitude if you want to enjoy Conan Exiles. Doesn’t mean that players should stop posting their critical reviews here!

But yeah, they might not gain too many new players.

PS: I’m not so sure about extortionate shop prices though… might hurt the rep pretty hard (At least for me)

.

All games have bugs. How many critical game crashing bugs are there? With a monetization now on a set schedule, we don’t have to wait long for revisions to come out since it’s not just about game improvements but about revenue for the company. This forces fixes that would otherwise be ignored until someone gets larger content done.

If there are any, we’ll find out quickly enough and Funcom will release a hotfix ASAP. They’ve done so before, no reason to believe they won’t do it this time.
