The hotfix patch notes said camels would go into the pen now, but it still only creates a pet camel, not a mount. How do I get a camel mount or is that still broken?
Stable, not pen. You put them into the pen and they become regular camels. Put them in the stable and you get a mount. Two different versions.

If you put a camel calf in the pen it will be a camel pet as usual, you need to put it in the stable to have it become a mount
Always remember the alliteration.
the Pen is for Pack animals
if it wears a Saddle, it comes from the Stable

Speaking of saddles. Does anyone have the details on the camel saddles in terms of sprinting endurance and endurance damage multiplier? Are the 3 camel saddles just equivalents to the war saddles for horses?

This one has not done a datamine, but from experimentation that is what it seems, that they match up roughly to their horse equivalents.

blah. I need a scout saddle for them. I mean the creatures are freaking known for endurance, right?
Actually I would love to see that. Camel sprints being slower but cost a lot less in endurance costs.
Thanks. Anyone know what to feed them to level Vitality?

And desert berries. Vines heal faster, but desert berries will also give a 14% buff. They may be easier to get depending on your location.

I test drove a camel and I like the way it handles. Sure its not cool like a horse but it certainly is fun to ride.
At this time, I would say camel, horse and trailing way behind rhino. I could never get into the rhino thing.

Yeah, the camel is cool, but doesn’t jump. However, I was surprised by how fast it was. Rhinos wore off their novelty pretty quickly for me. Too big, too slow.

Only a few inches, sadly… and only when running to catch speed and momentum. So it’s true for the most part. They’re not known to be jumpers.
A lot of bigger creatures can’t jump. Like elephants will 100% break their legs if they had to jump down 3 feet, IIRC.

Did you name your mount Joe Camel?
