logging on and finding out i’m already dead and all my expensive kit i made has gone…
Seriously funcom sort this out! It is the current reason players are running away from the game!
It’s sinful that a company hasn’t realised out that yet!
Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:
1.Drink water and max out hunger before Logging off with happy face
2.Wait a while
3.Log back in
4. See all your kit is gone because you died
5. Get really angry and swear your never gonna play Conan again!
And also log out at a place with FULL shelter - it lowers hunger and thirst when you are offline. Watch shelter icon: if you are near some door it shows partial shelter; walk a bit away and you’ll get it full.
That’s why having a small safe room without windows, and to much doors to log-out is the best.
Also putting all good stuff and valuable in a nearby chest isn’t to bad. For the log-out, and old, but temperatue adapted armour does the trick, no need to sleep in the best thingies.
i think its a bug. i have home in the volcano 3 times, and all 3 times sometimes i just log in and see i died when sleep, but i log out in full flawless dlc set, which provide maximum heat resistance in the game, i walk in the volcano without problems everyday, but died several times when log out. i also dont have any windows in my house and door and something are away from my bed, where i log out, i have full shelter
i ask my friend to check my character time to time when i log out. my character dont affected by deadly heat, and my hp stays on one level (it’s halved but i saw on trello its another known bug) aand sometime 1-2 hours after the previous time when he again came to check my sleeping character he just didnt find it. i die
The heat resistance our character have from our attributes do not continue to protect our unconscious body when it is in the game and we are logged off.
Therefore if you would die in the game if you wiped your attributes by resetting them, then your unconscious body will die when you are logged out.
it just neutralize accelerated decrease of hunger or thirst when you have “cold” or “heat” debuff (not very cold or heat). that perk do not give you any temperature resistance
I’ve noticed my kilns put out a crazy amount of heat since last patch. My wife logged out in the room with kilns wearing flawless heavy, heat resist, and she died. She actually got the achievement “survive the volcano” and went into heatstroke last night when I fired up all 5 kilns. Our base is just outside the tower of bat and without kilns going the building is neutral heat.
Might want to consider a separate room/building for kilns cauldrons cookstations and anything else that generates heat separate from area you camp out in I try to go for more spacious areas if I have to have them In same building/room to avoid the heat generated from those.
That for sure, or you live in a very cold climate, where you would need all heat sources.
Furnace have mostly there own room in my base, or they share it with some blacksmith maybe. Sure, i don’t sleep near my furnaces, don’t smell fine anyway.
But mostly a small log-out room, without windows, well protected, and puting all valuables, and wealthy armours in a chest, wearing an appropriate but old armour does the trick to avoid most lost.
Had this happen too … I died of thirst the other day and lost a lot of stuff … can remember this been a glitch last year always logged out full water and food for that reason even to this day … … no way to overheat either … seems to be back since the last patch … remove all gear before logging out again I suppose
