Why do i need 4 babies to make an adult pet?

Hi All,

I started playing Conan Exiles recently and i am still trying to figure the game out. I am playing the single-player version…

I have an issue with the animal pen the first day that i played the game i needed 1 baby to make 1 adult pet but for some reason here and a couple of days it requires me to use 4 babies to make 1 adult animal.

Can you please help me with this? Maybe it has to do with a setting i mistakenly changed or is it a bug?

Thank you in advance.

How many pets you have already? I think there is a cap even in single player. If you passed this cap normally you can’t fix more. If this is the case maybe you discover a way to bypass it .
So, please console and number of followers, they all together have a cap.

Did you change the crafting costs multiplier?

The limit doesn’t effect pets that has never been placed.

Now are they the same pet or different, did other pets disappear

It’s big pen and not small one correct?

Small pen = 1 pet. Food + baby = adult. You can (could?) place more babies in then normal. (thought that was fixed) But since pen only holds 1 adult. It’ll never produce another till you pull adult out.

Large pen holds 5 adults.

Hyena, from what I saw in another thread might be bugged. (aka they turn into greater hyena and go poof)
So you may have had 5 baby hyenas in… and got really lucky… / unlucky. XD

Yeah was gonna ask; would these be hyenas?

This was my first suspect, too.

On my Single-Player game I have successfully raided pets from a single baby in the past few days (Aardwolf, lion, crested lacerta, crocodile, lynx, two elephants and a gazelle). The elephants were raised simultaneously in a Reinforced animal pen, the rest in single-slot animal pens.

So as you can see, I didn’t try a hyena, so if they’re bugged, I wouldn’t know.
