Why i cant invite anybody in my clan?
unwanted invites lolol0ol just destroying the game a little more… people could refuse invites if they didnt want to enter a clan… and thats rare… no one invites other player randomly
It was an old exploit that got used against new players - people would spam invites at them so they either accepted deliberately or by accident. Then the griefers would kick them from the clan and keep all their followers and resources. That was what they were acting to prevent with this change.

There’s no such option there

It’s not you that needs to turn it off - if you’ve created the clan, the person you want to invite needs to turn it off at their end.
What if the person I want to invite is already in a clan?
Well then presumably one of you would need to leave their clan. You can only be in one clan at a time.
Edit: that literally used to be how people would protect themselves from being tricked into joining people’s clans (so that they could then kick you and keep all your stuff) - they would spam invites at people and, if they timed it right, as you were trying to do something else, you could accidentally accept. So to make sure that couldn’t happen, people used to make their own clan, so that they couldn’t join another.
Okay, but we don’t want him to lose any of his assets. He’s the only member of his clan and also the clan leader, so if he leaves the clan, his base and everything else will be lost.
Yeah, I think that’s a problem. But I’m pretty sure it would have been the same problem even before recent changes. I’m not sure if there is a way around it - I think once you had both created clans, you were probably stuck either way.
Unless you can maybe find a way for one of you to give all your assets to the other - thrall trading post etc - and dismantle your base and give them all the mats, then leave the empty clan and join the one that’s got everything. I’ve never tried it, so I don’t know for sure - but that should at least be a method that would work, but it would still mean dismantling one of your bases. Sorry I can’t think of a better solution.
But why do I have to do it this complicated way when, in the past, the base and everything else were automatically transferred to the clan that the player joined?
This is simply making things more complicated, not easier to play. That’s definitely not an improvement from Funcom!
As far as I know, the base and possessions were directly transferred only if the person was not already in a clan. If you are both already in clans, then one of you needs to not be in a clan, because you cannot be in two clans at the same time.
We have yet to find where to shut off this stupid feature.
We have never been hassled, after 8 years. Might be the company you keep.
Unless they changed it. If he is solo bit has a clan name. he can leave the clan, and all it will do is remove thr clan name from him and the buildings. He keeps everything under his ownership. If there is another player in the clan, then that would cause them to lose access to that old clans stuff. But once he joins your clan then all stuuf is owned by your clan.
