Hey all. The “Halloween” quest for OT/Tortage Night (which was up well outside Halloween, like the Conarch/Werewolf and Khemi/Set Halloween events, which are still going strong) ends with needing to spk w/the dancing/posing wolf pict warlord in front of the bank/tradepost in OT, but he hasn’t been there in months. I get that there are events which move these guys around, but they d/n have the quest elsewhere, when I spk w/the guy at other locations (and he is not dancing elsewhere, which may be a hint it is a different NPC, despite having the same name) and the marker is in front of the OT bank.
Also, the kid NPC who starts the quest is no longer ever dn by the OT docks, either, suggesting the quest is on hold, unlike the other Halloween quests.
Will the dancing/flexing Pict quest NPC ever return?
that was an anniversary event many years ago. i would expect that to be back only if they resurect that specific anniversary event. Those npcs are not spawning most of the time because it’s not anniversary time.
It was up for at least a month, AFAIK, and the other similar events are still up, so I thought it might still pop back. Can’t finish it now after I did the whole thing, and it is sitting in my quest queue.
Wait for the next anniversary if they activate it again. For the last few years, the time they (de)activate seasonal events has been a little bit … inconsistent ? I think that event should activate in March or April or May maybe ? I’m not sure when the game’s anniversary is.
LOL. Prolly server maintenance is they bribe an intern to run through a checklist every now and then. AoC likely hasn’t been seriously touched by actual GMs in a decade.
I was worried it would be someth like that. Shoulda headed my toon to NPC immediately after quest over (actually might have but NPC might already have been gone).
