Xbox One Single Player Offline keeps freezing

For about two weeks now, every time I try to play in single player both offline or co-op enabled, I get maybe five minutes of game play before the game freezes then shuts off. This is extremely frustrating. I have the digital version of the game, could that be the problem? I really like this game and I hope the issue gets fixed quickly or else I’m going to have to permanently uninstall the game.

Steps on how to reproduce issue:

  1. Launch game
  2. Select single player
  3. Wait a long time for single player to load
  4. Play for 3 to 5 minutes and get frustrated because it freezes and crashes.

Since the last patch there has been an increase in game lag and freezing. I know the developers are aware of it and are working on it. I’m not sure which thread though that is discussed in
