I also have not explored corruption enough yet, always found myself too soft with the the decreased health pool, I also always play medium armour so I have less forgiveness for screw ups, but YEAH, I had completely forgotten about poison ¿immunity? is it? …nice.
I play a dude so I can definitely be ugly as ick
will definitely experiment.

Conan Exiles is a survival game, so players will not be insta-deity level day one on Official servers or with default settings. For that reason, many start Solo and tweak Settings to allow for faster progression until they are more used to gameplay.
New players can also Clan up with other players and develop faster that way.
Conan Exiles is a Lot more forgiving than other srvival games. A Lot.
Have fun. Stick at it. Go through all the very useful hints and tips other, far better players than I have already posted, check out many of the demo- and tip-videos out there. It is worth it.
You can also go looking for a relaxed private and/or modded server and try a chilled setting instead before going hardcore on an Official server (private servers are usually moderated and don’t experience the mess on Officials where there can be hacking, abuse, etc.)

Non-boss sand reapers also have a quick-stack poison attack, that’s not something reserved for the Reaper Queen. As for the King Scorpion, it doesn’t have a quick-stack poison attack. It has one attack that inflicts exactly 1 poison debuff, and it uses it only occasionally.
If it’s a thrall, you can try to help them survive by making them use bandages. It might be the thing that saves them.

Good start lvl up fast…
Learn all the starting stone weapons, fix them all, kill with all of them at least 5 mobs or npcs and take the darfari weapons recipe to enter the Abysmal cave… Tell me your level after you exit the cave OFCURCE victorious, no doubt about it! That’s why i protest for the starting river in here, it’s so important for the beginning of the players…

THIS is the best part of this game for me! THIS is a great reason to keep minors away, among the plurality of items and complexity of using. THIS is a game for adults and it must stay this way my dear Sir, it’s our last frontier in the adult gamers world. IF the game will become easier, the servers will be filled from eleven year old lovers and it will become a box luna park before you know it (look ark) .
And trust me, eleven year old gamers idore to play with “cheats”… complete disaster if you ask me! This game is Daddy’s time, leave it as it is please

The second thing about Conan Exiles: Never give up.
And the third and last thing and knowledge at the same time: A shared sorrow is a sorrow halved. When you have companions in the game by your side, the game is not only easier, but also more fun.
And what previous speakers have already mentioned is really true. If you have gained enough experience in the game, then the loss you mentioned will be very easy to compensate later in the game.

Do not rely on your pets and thralls, value your skills correctly in the game and train them constantly. Know your weapons and armor. And assume that the Exiled Lands of Hyboria are a bloody dangerous place. There is no shame in retreating, because the story is told by the survivors - preferably the victorious survivors.

Not that much bigger to be honest. Its somewhat easy to mistake it with the regular giant scorpion from a distance. But when you get experienced you learn to recognize the bosses. Like how the sand reaper world boss has a two-pronged tail compared to the regular one.
But I second what the others said, it is the world of CONAN. It is brutal, harsh and unforgiving. I mean you start the game crucified. And when Conan helps you off the cross, youre in middle of the desert, naked. Its a survival game.
Running away from enemies you cannot beat is very important, and while running you can try to aim at the ground and press the “thrall attack” button in the hopes that your thrall would disengage and try to move away from combat. When you run far enough, your thrall will move/teleport to you.
Cherish the early game. The initial discovery and difficulties disappear over time, and when they do, nostalgia sets in. You can’t get it back. In reality, it’s a wonderful time in the game.
