I haven’t played in years (maybe even a decade) and downloaded this game again through Steam on whim for nostalgia’s sake. It’s saying my account’s suspended and I admit I didn’t have a very strong password back then. Any idea how long it takes them to get back to you?

It depends, I wouldn’t expect anything sooner than 3 weeks.
I’d just make a new account and start a new character, if you get your old account back then great.
