BUG REPORT AOH CH1 POST20250325UPD - Inventory auto scrolls to top if default cursor selection is unchanged while certain inventory actions are performed

Basic Info:

Platform: Steam
Issue Type: Gameplay
Game Mode: Online Official
Server Type: PvP
Map: Exiled Lands
Server Name: N/A

Bug Description:

Inventory auto scrolls to top if default cursor selection is unchanged while certain inventory actions are performed

Bug Reproduction:

  1. Open an inventory that has enough items to require a scroll bar (player inventory, vault, etc.,…)
  2. Have sort method as Name, Heaviest First or Type (does not occur with No Sort)
  3. Scroll with mouse button or use scroll bar within inventory to desired item
  4. Click and drag or shift click drag item out of inventory, drop or move
  5. Watch as inventory auto scrolls to to top where default is selected, always first item sorted
  6. If another item is selected closer to desired item to be moved, inventory will remain or only scroll slightly as it is tied to selected item rather than where the scroll bar is located (prior UI overhaul of 2024-04)

See video.
This issue is pre-existing.

I’d also add that there is a similar (but opposite) behaviour with ‘no sort’ - if you have a sufficiently full inventory and want to drop of several items/stacks from various points within the inventory and start near the bottom dropping a couple of stacks then scroll up to drop off something further up in the inventory, then it immediately afterwards scrolls back down to the bottom each time. (To prevent the behaviour, you have to select an item/stack that you intend to keep somewhere within the same screenful as those you want to drop. Then, when you drop the desired stacks and the cursor jumps back to its previous location, that location is on the same screen so you don’t have to keep scrolling back up. Maybe a similar trick works with the problem you are reporting here?) (This issue also is pre-existing.)

Edit - yep, viewing the video this is the exact same behaviour that I’m encountering with no sort, except that instead of jumping back to the top, it jumps back to the bottom - if the cursor had been down there.
