Buggier than befoire

Not only are the changes very unbalanced, but the game is even buggier than before.
You think they could have mended the Seppermeru bug, the one where the town is empty if you enter through a specific gaten while they were at it ?
Well it’s stil lhere and even buggier : I’m currently losing all my equipment inside the town, can’t activate my cadaver, and it’s probably linked to the bug since no one is there around.
Very, very disappointed by the lack of care on Funcom’s part.
it’s quite obvious that all they want is to gain new attention and new players, they don’t care for older players that were there for their game though.

Before what? What timeframe is it now buggier than it once was?

I think you’re just misremembering the past, it’s always been buggy. Games have bugs, what a shocking revelation

Welcome to the forums

What bug is that? I spend an unhealthy amount of time on these forums, but this is the first time I’ve seen anyone mention anything similar. Of course, it might be because I’m a PC player, so I generally don’t look as much in the PlayStation and Xbox forum sections. Is this a console-only bug?

At any rate, it would be helpful to submit a bug report on the appropriate bug report forum:

It doesn’t guarantee Funcom will fix the bug, but it might help.

Again, if you can submit a bug report about that, with all the appropriate details, it might help. It’s not guaranteed to, but it might.

Than before last big update, you genius.

I know what I say. I’ve been dying lots of time in Seppermeru, but I never lost my equipment once because of that f.ing bug. Now I just did.
And it’s not the only new bug I’m seeing since I gave a new try at the game.

Now if you’ve got not better advice than playing the wise guy and feeling superior for stating truism, please be on your way. It’s very probable I’m playing video games long before you begun.

“what bug is that” ?
a very known one.
I can’t upload links so I can’t redirect to the page, but there’s a discussion on that bug on the very same forum.
Here’s the description in substance : if you enter the city from the north side, it will quite often be empty of any NPC. Those reappear normally if you run to the south side and come back.
But it’s the first time ever that this seemed to actually prevent me for activating the body of my PC where she died inside the town, so that I jus t lost everything I had.

If I recall correctly, the restriction on posting links should go away if you go spend a few minutes on the forums, reading other topics, to “prove” to the forum software that you’re not a bot.

However, I think you could also try to circumvent that restriction by enclosing the link in backticks, like this: https://forums.funcom.com/t/buggier-than-befoire/218871

And if all else fails, just insert some spaces, like this:
https ://forums .funcom .com/t/buggier-than-befoire/218871/4

Yeah, this is why I recommended submitting a bug report. The description is an important part of the bug report, but not the only one. For example, is this in single-player mode, or online? Are you playing with mods or without? Stuff like that matters when trying to diagnose the bug.

I will check this out.

How do you reckon the two events are linked?

Also, please forgive me if you’re aware of this, but very often I cannot access my meat but I can access the corpse marker. If you died on a slope or bridge or building or catwalk, your corpse may be somewhat distant (vertically) from the marker – thus the “headstone” might be smack dab on the spot.

If the npcs are not loading thats probably a level streaming error in unreal. It could be an encounter level interfering. Assets are loaded in the game in levels. There’s the heightmap, the scenery, the camps of npcs and now the events. They have a distance from the bounds of the level called a streaming distance that dictates when they load. They are split to limit how much stuff is n terms of MB you console/pc loads at a given time. If multiple levels are loaded at the same time that exceeds a certain limit (a bit of unkown to me unreal chicanery) some things wont load. So if you come at it from a different direction, this could mitigate how much tries to load based on where the bounds for the levels are.
