Hey everybody,

We’re aware of an issue that prevents climbing in certain locations of the map, mainly in underground caves or locations. Our team is working on a fix and we aim to release it as a hotfix soon.

Due to the overwhelming number of threads about it we’re going to merge all existing ones into this thread. Please make sure to check the forums before posting about an issue that has been posted previously.

So i was going in the frost temple to mine some black ice, but they seem to be bugged. I can walk through the black ice nodes and not mine them. so i though maybe deeper in the temple they might work.

So now i went deeper, down the stairs them up the stairs. now im in a room where i can go left, right and straight ahead. I took a left turn went through that room and fell down… Looking around in that room(after i retrieved my corpse) i see a white dragon and next to it a small hill i can go up. but from there i dont seem to be able to go up any further. I don’t see another exit but to go up. Also i can’t climb there.

Am i missing something or am i supposed to be able to climb there. really dont want to lose my sollspeil xD.

i’ve heard it’s possible to kill the white dragon and get back out, but i’ve never been able to myself.

I have been down there and was able to climb out, but that was a few months before…

So then that’s probably a bug from todays patch.

Did you try climbing out at this area? Go to 4:30 in the video.

I think it’s related to today patch.
Most caves now have this bug. So be careful, this need a hotfix first !

So don’t enter caves where you need climb to go out !

Also the passage, and most nothern caves have this climbing bug actually.
Let’s hope it will be fixed very soon !

At Aaron, Yes that is the exact location i tried to get out. I logged out for now, hope it’s fixed when i log in tomorrow.

Same thing happened to me i had my t4 bearer with me to get black ice now im stuck down there logged out and probably going to lose my bearer and stuff she has on. Needs a fix fast. Im on ps4 pve server 3880

the problem is when you go down into the cave that allows you to go between the north and the jungle we can no longer cling to the walls of the cave we are stuck down we can not go back

all caves seem to be bugged atm, multiple reports including one for the passage:

Yes, the passage.

Also other caves are touched by this bug actually.
Dev’s are hardly searching and try figure out what going on to fix this bad issue.

In meantime, don’t enter any cave where you need climb. Don’t !

I know is frustrating, but there should come a fix as soon they found what is causing this. Stay tuned, and don’t explore caves where you need climb out !

Your are unable to climb inside the black galleon after the recent patch, there is no message like “can’t climb wall”. It’s justs not possible to climb.

  1. Try to climb inside the Black Galleon
  2. Panic while smashing spacebar trying to climb

The Passage in the northern jungle is no longer climbable. If you survive the fall going in you can not get out. Kind of a game breaker as you need the artifact from the boss in that cave. The passage is now a trap.

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

  1. Try to scale down the walls of the Passage.
  2. Fall for a really long time.
  3. Die of deceleration trauma upon contact with ground.
  4. Un-climbable area does not indicate “You can’t climb this” as in areas where it’s supposed to be impossible.

I’m also having this issue. As well as my clan mates. If you enter The Passage, you are unable to climb anything. I have removed my bracelet and left my thrall in there, which I’m not too happy about since he’s carrying precious cargo. I am able to climb at my base in the jungle, but still not in The Passage.

It was something reported on testlive, and staff made note of it. It seems to have made it to all platforms.
