Corrupted builds need some love. Devs, please read!

Why do you need to climb when sorcery gives you the ability to fly? You can go significantly higher with flight than a clean build can climb, even with gear.

A tremendous post, i agree with pretty much everything. The fact that atmor/ buffs are impacted by corruption is beyond absurd. Stamina gear is already lackluster with pieces giving either 12 or 7 stam…useless. it would be better to get %dmg from gear and get 20 stam from a food or potion, much more efficient.
Im the only one in my crew thats even dabbled with corruption builds in pvp and though ive had some success here and there, and some very entertaining encounters with buffed zombies and launching people into the air, corruption builds do struggle. I wouldnt have an issue with the low stam/ hp as much is magic was more useful in combat but its just not really. Lightning is really the only combat specific spell that MAY hit opponents, but you dont even need to run corrupted perks to use it. If there was an actual sorcery perk line to buff spells the okay now we’rr talkin’ but thats not the case. As corrupted builds go now they arent setup as sit back and suppory with minions. You CAN do that but that defeats the point of having corrupted vit/ str trees.
Erojh is off on this one , i understand his points but as the system is right now its reliant on melee combat, therefore, needs some luvvin.

Not a bad point. Its one of the reasons I don’t corrupt past 8 vitality. The only perk I’m replacing is 0.5hp/sec for 0.8hp/sec. Grotesque Excrescence is the only corrupted perk better than the perk it replaces. With Petrified being equal and in some cases better. All of the others are not, and usually worse.

And this will still be a problem if Stamina is unaffected by corruption.

One thing that might work is allow Stamina to be affected. Maybe not stamina from buffs/gear. But then allow Corrupted Attributes to add to stats like regular stats. So if you have 20 Strength you get +100% bonus strength damage. If you corrupt it to 10, then you get more bonus strength damage by either the same amount or half so +125% or +150% weapon damage.

This way the amount of damage you deal per pool of stamina is the close to a non-corrupted build. While sure, the burst damage would be higher, you can die just as fast as you kill. Sorcerers take unnatural shortcuts to defeat their foes, with consequences for cutting such corners.

To be honest I agree. Not many corrupted perks make sense outside specific niche builds. The only tree that gives a significant boost corrupted over non corrupted is authority but not everyone wants to rely on thralls.
My current build is 19 corrupted authority (yeah the 20 point one sucks really bad) and 15 corrupted vitality. The only reason I went so far in vitality is because the immunity to poisons, bleed, gases, and sunder, is almost a must with so much a cut to your vitality. By itself without going authority with it corrupted vitality feels extremely not worth investing in.
On the topic of stamina yes it needs looking at. Sure on siptah you can just grab gloves of jhil and sprint forever but they don’t seem inclined to add eldarium gear on EL maps so we need something to address this for the whole game.
