Trying to complete the raider journey and cant pass ‘craft a trap’ i have “crafted” both varieties the only way you can with the construction hammer. Doesnt trigger journey step!!!

Where might someone buy one?
You have to get the mercenary captain in a “purge”. He can sell you some when you release him, or if you have a bar set up he will be on your book and you can call him to visit your bar for a bit.
In other words a contrivance.

If you dont have a tavern can you buy from someone elses?? They need to fix this, I also heard you can get one as loot in a chest, I have been looking for days, and nothing, I know its random, but they need to fix it… be nice if they ever read their own forums.
It’s loot in “purge” camp chests, no others. I’ve been told at high level “purges” you can get the recipe.
There is also the fire cauldron to this way as well.
Note: In 16 L1 raids I got 1 archers post and 1 fire cauldron. And nothing else I had want or need of, so I quit the “purges”.
+1 I’m having the same issue. I keep crafting traps (both types) from explosives and rest of recipe and it’s not completing this journey step no matter what I do and trying different placement things.
Please fix crafting / placing trap parts of raider journey so we can receive the reward, Funcom. Thank you in advance.

Technically I’m trying to run Dungeon Delver for the ranger armour and since it doesn’t show up in my list I thought it was the result of a travel chain; that said I’m also doing this “create a trap” step and I’m deeply stuck. @DeaconElie’s suggestion is good but I don’t have 26k gold coins and I’m not going to farm them on an official server with all the restrictions of respowns and rare drop possibilities.
Of course Funcom will never solve I just shrug my shoulders and look at the horizon
