Disapering items when crafting in the precision tannery

Bug Description:

Items disappearing when the crafting started (precision tannery)

Bug Reproduction:

around 6:50 PM EST I unloaded 2580 piecies of hide and 78 piecies of thick hide into the precision tannery, I pressed the play button with x key, the crafting started, immediatly stopped and all the hide and thick hide was gone

Was there tar instead?

Sometimes when I place things into a Crafting Bench, Fire/Stove, Furnace, etc., the items are instantly converted/cooked.

Is it possible this is what happened to you?
