It’s worth noting that one of the times inbetween crashes, when I loaded in and had like half a second to see where I was in the game, it was completely OBVIOUS that the sound from the tentacle cloud overhead EVENT was taking place. I heard this for a moment just as the client drew my toon, and the building in Sepermeru.
But then immediately after that, I had crashed.
ALSO - in my desperate effort to return to my stuffs - I dialed down all of the games video settings. I turned everything off, dialed all settings down to low, and disabled the NVIDIA overlay also.
I also attempted to bolster my system’s virtual memory to address the memory error symptom. It didn’t help. I cannot give my system memory that your game is errantly and incorrectly attempting to write to. Since this is a Siptah module, or port - is there some aspect of the Siptah map or game that simply does not load correctly in Sepermeru? Something the game client would expect to write memory to, except that the game client has not done so properly, so the addressing or whatever pointer reference isn’t there?
I meet the minimum system specs. There are enough people here having a problem that I feel sure that most of them also meet the minimum specs. I just re-installed my game only a couple of days ago after a couple of years haitus. So I cannot see how I would need to verify files.
Please turn the event off, recover the mentioned servers from backup or clone, and recreate the problem until your heart is content. In the meantime, please turn this event off so that we can return to our SAVAGERY.
Nice to see you again, @Sickness that’s a server I have my eye on (as a player). When you crashed, did you lose any equipment? It may help with logging if you can post a screen of the lootbags that decayed after the crash – any admin looking into this can then narrow down more easily on the time of the crash.
Same for you, Brother. A screenie of your lost loot will be helpful, and I won’t grieve tooo hard knowing you, you’ve already replaced it. (Unless it was the sandmask and skinning knife you had for me. Then it’s tragic.)
Funcom: “we enabled events on all official servers”
Players:“we’re crashing when events take place”
Funcom:“which server?”
Players: listing all servers
I’m on single player and can’t even seem to get them to trigger at all, which given this thread might be a good thing for the time being.
(I’m guessing they’re on some kind of spawn timer like the meteor showers, so you’d have to stand around in front of Sepermaru or the Summoning Place for an hour just to have a chance at seeing one.)
Hello, it appears that official PVE-C Server 1823 loads the game and then. crashes immediately. I have the exact same error message as other people. Was just riding my horse to mine some ironstone near the summoning place.
Awesome-sauce. They re-introduced the bug from Hotfix 1, into Hotfix 2…
Is there a Quality Assurance Manager at Funcom?
As of this morning… I get:

Portal to Yuggoth is bugging people that are up around Outcast Camp.
Another two users on server 1750 screenshotted this, both affected by Portal to Yuggoth, and fell out near the Outcast Camp (that Ymir teacher friendly frost giant camp)
…when I tried to help them retrieve their body, I crashed too while passing the friendly Frost Giant. My uninhabited body ran off the cliff while I was crashed, but I survived running against a wall halfway down. Then I tried to leave the area… and crashed again. Uninhabited body again ran off the north face of the mountain, somehow still survived at the bottom, and finally I screenshotted it. Also Portal to Yuggoth;
I had the same error yesterday and the game crashed each time when i joined the server. Today everything was ok again without doing anything
Someone said that one has to wait until the server restarts in the night
worked for me
