Bug Description:

Heker’s Pecker is broken. Item “The Pecker” can’t be repaired since Chapter 4 was released, it was repairable prior to the release. Heker can still make new ones but cannot repair them afterwards. I have also tested this in single-player with all mods removed and the problem still exists. Please note, The Pecker is not a legendary item, it is a crafted Epic (purple) and therefore should be able to be repaired.

Bug Reproduction:

Place “The Pecker” into a blacksmith bench (Garrison or Campaign, it doesn’t work in either of them) with Heker as the active thrall occupying the bench. Click on The Pecker while inside the inventory of the bench, the “Repair” option no longer appears as it did before Chapter 4 was released.

This falls into the same bug reported that Redeemed Legion gear cannot be repaired. The true problem is that the player does not own the recipe, the crafting thrall does. Something in the Ch-4 update broke that functionality, meaning it no longer checks for the crafting thrall, it only checks the player’s recipes. It is on Funcom’s list of acknowledged things to fix.

I agree with your logic, and I appreciate the information. Even so I wanted to be sure that FunCom had a report specifically on this item, as I haven’t seen it mentioned by name since the release.

Hi Zahmaiatt, I did. In the report above I described, “I have also tested this in single-player with all mods removed and the problem still exists.”

@ZahMaiatt, to give it context, this is a fault of the new UI.
These recipes cannot be crafted by the player on their own, the recipes are only available by having certain artisan thralls slotted inside the respective crafting stations.

The new UI blocks the repair button for recipes not owned by the player - which is normally correct - however it fails to make an exception for cases when the player is trying to repair inside the crafting station, with the artisan thrall who has the recipe being present.

The previous UI allowed for repair in this case.

So all of the bug reports you see about similar artisan-crafted items not being able to be repaired (Like the Redeemed Legion armor set, Chain bindings, etc.) they’re all one and the same bug.
