How do i get thru gate?

new player, game sucks. dragon faction, something about a dream i’m in that i cant wake up from. leave shack, get the mission from the chick, no f’ing way to get thru gate. how do i open the gate?

Equip weapon, shoot zombie, gate opens, don’t be as grumpy next time.
