Game mode: online private Type of issue: performance Server type: PVP Region: U.S.
After the update today Everytime I open the Inventory controls become almost unresponsive, it take 3 to four seconds just to move from one item to the next and at least 5 seconds to close the inventory all together.
I’m playing on a private PVP server with no mods.
Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:
1.open the inventory menu
2.
3.
4.
I have a decent gaming rig, not the top of the line, but not a potato either. I run comfortably with all settings on high.
And I’m experiencing the same occasional lag spikes when opening the inventory. It’s not consistent, but it happens too often for comfort.
EDIT: It’s happening way more often now, so I’m starting to wonder if it’s got something to do with how many players are online at the same time. Also, it can freeze the game up to 5 full seconds.
I have a similar issue, I post here becasue I think it’s the same issue or related.
Server: Official 1048, no mods
Problem:
Open inventory (player, thrall) -> big fps drop (20 by average) that continues even after closing the inventory, never going away. The fps drop makes the game unplayable after a while.
For example, in my case:
-before opening inventory: 40-60 fps
-after opening inventory: 18-28 fps
Solutions I found:
-in game, setting texture quality to low, going back to the game and then setting it back to ultra (in my case) seems to fix the problem (until the inventory is reopened)
-exiting and relogging to server
-not opening player or thrall inventory
I already tried:
-clean reinstall -> no change
-clean reinstall of video driver -> no change
My config:
i5 2500k, gtx 970, 16 gb ram, playing @ 1920*1080 144hz
I’ve also noticed that scrolling through items on workbenches is bugged. I can only scroll about halfway through the large workbenches before the icons stop scrolling. The cursor moves on to other items but you can’t see it.
